A travel system with a long carrycot and a high backrest on the seat unit?

Choskins3 • 25 Mar 2024

Hi, could you advise me on a travel system with a long carrycot and a high backrest on the seat unit? I am expecting long baby number 3 soon. I also have a 2 year old so I’ve been debating between Bugaboo Fox 5, Donkey 5 and Egg3. I just wanted to check if there was a pushchair I’d not thought of!

Heya,

Well, if you are thinking about using the stroller for a 2+ years old and he is not a tiny child, I must say the Donkey might be a very tight fit, narrow especially. I am not sure I would go for that one with such a toddler.

I guess I can recommend the Easywalker Harvey or Jimmey as their carrycot are reasonably long and also the seats are on the bigger side, seatback-wise. The Harvey should also offer a sibling option but again I am not sure I would go for a reversible seat for a 2+ yo toddler, I would more look at something side-by-side and non-reversible if the plan is to use the stroller for the older one regularly-ish.

From your choices, the Fox would probably be the one I would go for, practicality-wise, and would also think about a Baby Jogger City Sights (if a single stroller would be enough).

Your -very berry- Eli.

Now, this is your place to ask. I'm listening.
