A stroller with a high weight capacity for a tall 2.5 yo

Hol • 15 Oct 2022

Hi

I’m looking for recommendations. I need a stroller for my 2.5 year old, one that goes up to 22kg/25kg. I’d like it to be easy and compact fold, not umbrella fold. So far I’ve looked at the Britax Romer M and the Joie Mytrax Flex.

I’ve also looked at Silver Cross Clic but don’t like how low down it is as my little boy is tall.

Please can someone help me with the advice? Thanks!

Heya, Hol,

You definitely went the better way with looking at a bit larger than ultracompact pushchairs - the Clic would be really tight and not too comfy for everyday use, being a travel, occasional use buggy. From your two options, I personally would rather go for the Mytrax Flex, as the Britax's B-Agile line is quite rattly, to be honest. The Mytrax is much heavier though, and the seatback could be longer, still it is a nice enough model for the money it costs.

Apart from that, I would suggest an Oyster Zero which is light, much lighter actually and agile but very roomy, and with a bit of suspension. Also, the Valco Snap is a light, spacious enough option that many moms like as a practical, even if simple, no-suspension one. And I will also suggest the Baby Jogger City Mini as it is one sturdy, nicely made pushchair.

Your -very berry- Eli.

Now, this is your place to ask. I'm listening.
