A lighter mid-sized stroller for a month-long trip to Paris with a 16mo and a 1yo

Ashley • 04 Apr 2023

Hello,

I am looking for a stroller that I can use on an upcoming long stay in Paris. My 16month old will be the primary rider, but would like something my 4-year-old could sit comfortably in also at times. We bought a Bugaboo Butterfly for its low weight and portability, but I'm already not happy with it and don't think it will hold up to the strong every-day use in the city during that month. Instead, I am looking for a mid-size stroller that is still fairly lightweight. Important things for me are easy to fold and easy transport (strap or carry handle) for metro and upstairs, a fairly upright seat, and good canopy coverage. Any thoughts?

*It would be amazing if there was a search function by features on your site! All the details are in the stroller reviews, would be lovely to be able to search for the important criteria :)

Hey Ashley,

As the Butterfly is a travel, occasional-use stroller, I get what you mean that it is just not completely it for a full month of normal use. I would probably suggest a Valco Snap (has an arm strap) or a Oyster Zero Gravity (no strap but can be carried by the bumper bar) here, both are very light but also spacious enough for a larger kid. The Baby Jogger City Mini GT2 is a sturdier, flat-folding stroller that also is worth mentioning, and the Cybex Eezy S+3 is smaller and light, just no carry strap is there unfortunately.

Your -very berry- Eli.

Now, this is your place to ask. I'm listening.
