A full-featured four-wheeled stroller that lies flat, has a pivoting handle, lie-flat seat, suspension, and large seat, basket and canopy

Hi Eli,

You kindly offered some very helpful advice with my previous question.

I have looked at the ABC Design Salsa 4 and this fits pretty much all my requirements bar the handlebar, but this may be a compromise I need to make.

I'm looking for a full-size stroller. My requirements are:

Pivoting handlebar - I'd like for my 5 year old to be able to help push (when safe). I won't be needing a carrycot.

Preferably a lie flat seat, but this is not a deal breaker.

Good suspension. Mainly urban use, but we do visit country parks and woodland walks.

Large seat (17kg weight or higher) to fit a taller child (doesn't need to be reversible).

Good size basket and extending hood.

Preferably with a footrest.

I'm an older mum and much prefer the traditional 4-wheel pushchairs as opposed to the Baby jogger City Mini GT, etc.

Am I looking for the impossible 😃

Thank you
Nora

Hey again, Nora,

Yeah, I am thinking we will always make compromises when buying a stroller (as one can't have it all) and you may end up with the Salsa.

Other than that, I am thinking the Joie Mytrax could be an OK option if you don't need a reversible seat. The seat is not huge but should be ok up until about 3-4 years of age.

If you can lay your hands on one, the Britax B-Motion 4 Plus is a rather spacious, robust stroller that can go over most terrains.

And lastly, I will mention the Valco TREND SPORT. There is no inbuild suspension, however with the Sport wheels (inflatable), it should be ok for most terrains. The huge hood, the huge seat, and a nice basket size are a plus there (plus, flat folding).

Your -very berry- Eli.

Now, this is your place to ask. I'm listening.
