Peg-Pérego Book 51 S Elite

see 3 parent reviews

The Peg-Pérego Book 51 Elite is a modular stroller system, consisting of the Pop Up seat and the Elite carrycot in combination with the Book 51 chassis. The name Elite is derived from the name of the carrycot and it is also corresponding with the style of the fabrics on both the carrycot and the seat. The Navetta Elite is an elegant carrycot that can also be used in the car instead of a Group 0+ car seat. The Book 51 Elite is also available as a part of the stroller system Pop Up with the foldable Navetta Pop Up carrycot and the XL with the popular carrycot/car seat hybrid Navetta XL.

The lightweight aluminum chassis is equipped with a suspension system as well as a shaped handlebar. Thanks to the wheels with suspension and 12 ball bearings, the steering is by 30% easier compared to similar strollers. The stroller can be folded one-handedly the way a book does, hence the name. The chassis is only 51 cm wide. It also features a front wheel locking mechanism located on the side, so you don’t need to bend to do so. Compared to the inferior Book 51 line, this stroller comes with a leatherette handlebar as well as the rear Soft Ride wheels featuring a tire tread, suitable for occasional all-terrain use. The bigger, all-terrain front wheels with a tire tread are also available to purchase (separately). Another advantage of this stroller is the large shopping basket with easy load system, meaning that the rear part can be folded down.

The Peg-Pérego Book 51 Elite features elegant, haute couture fabrics either in denim, melange or the designer Manri collection. The Pop Up seat can be reclined flat, including the leg rest. The hood features a strap for attaching a favorite toy. It is quite short in its basic form, but it can be extended by opening another panel, and can also be used as a follow-the-sun shield. The Peg-Pérego Book 51 Elite set is only available as the 3in1 stroller system; however, the individual components of the stroller system are also sold separately.

parents say thx^^

We would buy it again

5
  • Easy to push - one handedly
  • Practical
  • Nicely collapsible
  • Inclinable cot
  • Certified for transport in the car
  • Possibility to exchange wheels for larger ones
  • Storage space
  • Mobile phone pocket inside the cot
  • Hanging loop for toy 😉
  • Higher price

It is easy to steer. Practical, smart, easily foldable, adjustable recline in the cot - we used it during reflux, plus good storage space. Great satisfaction, we would buy it again 🙂👍

  • large bassinet
  • washable parts
  • lightweight
  • sturdy
  • well manoeuvrable
  • wheels can handle even the toughest terrain
  • the baby is not lying in the egg, which is part of this 3 in 1 system, but it is almost sitting completely - an unnatural position for a baby
  • after a year and a half, the construction loosened and the parts started to squeak (it didn't stop even after tightening what was loose and then lubricating it)

It was a great stroller, but after a year and a half it completely "loosened up". It squeaks, the frame got loose and all the joints have a sort of slack. After a complaint, which of course was not acknowledged, we were told that it was not a defect and it happens to everyone - just the rivets come loose and it can't be fixed. If it hadn't started squeaking so much, I wouldn't have any complaints about it.

So far the best Peg-Perego Book I've had

4
  • One-handed manoeuvrability
  • Folding and storage
  • Locking of the wheels on the frame
  • Soft wheels
  • Machine washable
  • Leather child belly bar and handlebar
  • Sufficient zip-open canopy
  • Compatibility
  • Colours and materials - quality
  • Legs can't be set completely straight
  • The basket under the buggy fades from black to brown after a while
  • The cup holder tips over

So far the best Peg-Perego Book I've had.
