Nuna Mixx 2
The Nuna Mixx 2 is a second iteration of the popular, full-size Nuna Mixx stroller. You can often find it without the 2 in its name since it completely replaced the first generation, and it doesn't differ that much from it. This relatively lightweight full-size stroller or stroller system is specific thanks to the L-shaped chassis with a curved handlebar. The newer chassis is colored in elegant black, and dark are also the renewed, matching wheel rims. The front wheels of the Mixx 2 are slightly larger. The chassis folds even with the seat unit attached, creating a nice, flat folded package. The shopping basket is large and accessible, equipped with a dividing partition, and color-matched to the hood.
You can use the Mixx 2 right from newborn - even with the seat only. It is reversible and reclines fully - and what is more, the integrated side flaps allow you to create a carrycot-like environment for your newborn. The high weight capacity also makes it possible to push a larger toddler in the same seat. The small, velcro-closing pocket in the back of the seat was replaced in the second Mixx version with a larger, thermo-insulated pocket. The peek-a-boo window with mesh is not the only airflow provider - there are extra mesh parts on the extending panel of the hood as well.
Car seat adapters are included with the Mixx2. A full-featured carrycot with a reversible mattress and extra internal pocket is also available for newborn babies. The carrycot protects the baby not only with the canopy but with the Dream Drape sunshade as well. Looks good, but it's not worth the money. I should have gone for the Uppababy because of these reasons:
- materials could be better quality (the handlebar plastic broke)
- the seat doesn't always click into position
- the 'automatic' loch doesn't always click after folding
- canopy doesn't hold in position
- difficult to click on the car seat (which adapters go where - that is the question)
- not good for any worse terrain + the front wheels swivel like crazy sometimes
- too expensive for what it is
