Presented as the world’s most luxurious stroller, Maclaren Techno XLR is a robust stroller with a high weight capacity suitable from the birth onwards. Your baby can be placed directly into the reclined seat with the built-in newborn safety system (nets on the backrest and on the leg rest), into the soft carrycot or into the car seat. Despite the high positioned, adjustable shaped handles and the spacious seat, this stroller still feels light and easily manoeuvrable. The wheels are made of hardened foam and are equipped with a good suspension system for a smoother ride. Maclaren Techno XLR comes with lots of accessories: a reversible liner, a head hugger, a footmuff, a raincover and a wrist strap.
After the facelift in 2016, the new models feature an improved, expandable waterproof/UPF 50+ hood with a viewing window and ventilation panels on the side. The built-In sun visor is made of thick fabric instead of the translucent plastic. There is only one pocket built in the back of the hood instead of two found on the older models. The leg rest can be adjusted more easily by simply clicking it upwards, instead of pulling. The shopping basket has also been improved. It is no longer a net, it is made of fabric with zip-open sides for better access.

I love Maclarens, they can handle everything, they have a really durable frame. The XLR is spacious even for bigger toddlers. Ideal for summer holidays, but we also went around a true mountain with it - and it was slightly snowy :) Super big canopy, and there's the possibility to buy a belly bar extra.

Maclaren refused to fix the brakes that stopped working after roughly 6 months. Their argument was that a manufacturing defect would show earlier and that some dust got into the breaks and broke them.
The warranty lists parts that are not covered - the brakes are not among them.

Moms usually praise it, but it wasn't much of a good fit for me. I didn't like the two umbrella style handles - I couldn't push it with one hand. After some time, the handles became sticky, which I hated. We had to buy new, spare, made of foam. Later on, I read on more forums that people have problems with the same thing often. I expected more for the price.
