Very well designed travel system

5
  • One of the largest carrycot and stroller seat on the market
  • Baby can sleep in carrycot on the stand over night
  • Easy one hand fold
  • No adaptors required
  • Great for taller parents
  • Beautiful quality
  • Extra sun shields on the car seat, carry cot, and stroller seat
  • We have a large 90th centile baby, and he was able to stay in the carrycot for 6 months unlike most other pram models
  • None

A very well designed travel system. Easy to use, sturdy and beautiful.

  • The carrycot mattress can be raised - great for colicky babies
  • Beautiful soft lining
  • Large carrycot compared to most prams. My baby was on the 90th centile and she was in the carrycot for 6 months.
  • Great ventilation features on both carrycot and stroller
  • The stand is fantastic. No need to buy a moses basket at home & great for overnight trips
  • No adaptors are needed. The lift and click mechanism for both the car seat, carry coat and stroller seat is very easy
  • The one hand fold on the chassis is very smooth and easy to manoeuvre
  • The chassis folds handle bar up so it doesn’t get damaged
  • The stroller seat can collapse with the chassis. No need to separate
  • Extendable handle bar - my 6ft4 husband has no issues pushing the pram
  • Cup holder included
  • Great recline on the stroller
  • Extendable foot rest to change as child gets older
  • Huge hood on stroller with a hidden pull down SPF50 sun shield. When down, the whole hood covers my baby completely and there are 2 further ventilation panels
  • Large shopping basket
  • Front wheels can be locked in place if needed
  • No suspension but not a huge problem for urban living. The Aptica XT would be better for rougher terrain
  • Stroller hood takes a bit of getting used to. You need to recline the seat first for the hood to sit right

I’m over the moon with the Aptica travel system. The whole range is very well thought out. For me the top 3 features are the one hand fold chassis, large carrycot and stroller seat compared to other brands and the stand.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t the one for us

  • Super folding mechanism
  • Design, look
  • Large canopy
  • Simple packaging/assembly
  • Poor suspension
  • Poor handling
  • Size pretty large after folded

Such a sleek and pretty stroller but unfortunately wasn’t the one for us.

For a stroller of its size and a fold with the seat attached, the folding mechanism is one of the best I’ve experienced! But with that, the stroller doesn’t fold so flat in my opinion.

The biggest reason for returning for us was the suspension. My 1-year-old in the sitting position didn’t mind so much but I definitely would not recommend for a newborn's sensitive spine.

It has a lovely carrycot but no suspensions at all, which means that my daughter cannot sleep in it while going out. Also, Inglesina customer service is not responsive, so if you have an issue, good luck in getting in touch with them.

  • Beautiful :-)
  • Telescoping handlebar - we are both tall
  • Huge bassinet
  • The bassinet backrest can be adjusted
  • Extra-large canopy
  • One-hand fold
  • Weight limit of 22 kg
  • Narrow chassis - perfect for small elevators
  • A stand available or included in the full set
  • No suspension (at least I don't feel any) - it is an urban stroller. However, our little one didn't mind a bit of shaking :-)

We were choosing the stroller system for our first baby for a very long time. We considered the Baby Jogger City Premier, the Britax Go Big, the Nuna Mixx, and others... In the end, the Inglesina won because it met the majority of our requirements, and the design got me at first glance.

Your questions about the Inglesina Aptica

1)

Hello, how can we order spare tires for a stroller we had since more than 15 years. Kindly let me know who to contact. Thank you.

Hello there, it quite depends on the stroller model you own. I am not sure if you mean the Aptica or other Inglesina model (I am guessing it will be another one). In any case, I would first look at shops around you that offer the Inglesina brand. They could ask the producer for you and if possible, order spare parts for your Inglesina (for some fee). Another option would be contacting Inglesina directly - https://www.inglesina.com/service-center/contact-us, and you need to specify the type you own in there too, of course. The last advice would be to look for the same stroller in personal ads - someone could be selling one with ok wheels for a low price, and you could get it for spare parts. Good luck!
