Your questions about the Foppapedretti Bikini Plus

1)

What is best position of seat for the baby 3+ month? Someone told us that flat position is not good anymore?

Hello, Andreja,

Unsure who and what told you, but it certainly IS a flat position. The only reasons for a non-flat position would be a baby suffering from reflux - that would mean to lift him or her up A BIT to help - in the case of the Foppapedretti Bikini Plus, changing it to a bucket - anatomic style seat and put that in the fully reclined position. It would be an almost lie-flat but with a slight incline and legs being bent a bit - which helps a reflux baby a lot in some cases. To know more, check out this article about bucket - ergonomic kind of seat units.

Also, some moms put their 2-3-4-month-olds into a seat already because the babies are very unhappy in the bassinet/lie-flat for some reason (my first son was also like that). You only pass to a seat mode if you see the child is strong enough to keep its head up steadily - so not as fragile as a newborn anymore - and it still should be reclined, yes. This goes up until the baby can sit up without help by itself.

In any case, I wouldn't move to the seat before 5-6 months if there's not a problem (a constantly crying baby). Also, I would put the baby in a fully reclined position there - up until the baby sits up unassisted. Everything else puts strain on its neck and spine much too soon (and can cause problems many many years later).

Good luck - and listen to your heart and feelings; as a mother, you only want the best for your little one 😊💪🤞
