The Emmaljunga Super Viking is a higher version of the versatile Emmaljunga Viking. The chassis, the seat unit, and the carrycot of the Super Viking are slightly wider. Using the Go Double adapter, you can add another seat, carrycot or car seat and create a tandem. In the twin mode, the Super Viking is only 57 cm wide, so pushing the stroller through the town or shopping aisles won’t be a problem even with two children on board. Thanks to the stable chassis with a soft suspension system as well as quality wheels, this pram can handle even a more demanding terrain. Features such as the reversibility of the carrycot and the seat unit, the adjustable handlebar, the spacious shopping basket, and the relatively compact fold underline the simple design focused on the practicality. And if the storage space of the shopping basket is not enough, you can get the additional basket and add it to the side of the chassis.
When purchasing the stroller, you can choose between different types of chassis that come with a different color and wheel type. The elegant, black Competition chassis type is the urban variation featuring a black leatherette bumper bar and narrower, maintenance-free, rubber wheels. Excellent for the city as well for all-terrain use. My son has plenty of space in it - the carrycot is very large. What is more, I don't have to buy another one when a second child is on the way. We're absolutely satisfied with it.
- Truly all-terrain - we got through woods, fields (even when it was freezing)...
- Easy to fold and unfold
- A bit narrower, so a 6mo child with a footmuff is a bit cramped in the seat
- Expensive
We only tried the carrycot (yet) and are slowly moving to the seat unit.
The chassis is sturdy while lightweight. Great for all-round, all-terrain use. We tried other "all-terrain" models (my friends'), but theirs were so much bumpier and shaky, even when we were only on light terrain.

Hi, Sue,
This is hard to tell with a 30+ years old model. The manufacturers tend to change small, pretty invisible things to make their prams better which make the unfit to be put on such an old model. Though if the stroller looks pretty much the same, frame-wise, it is possible that it could fit newer parts, too. Best is, however, to ask directly the manufacturer as they will know better about the compatibility, and also will have parts.
About your usual accessories, the car seat adapters will probably not fit, as even car seats at that time didn't have the exact same attachment system, though smaller things like liners, footmuffs etc. should be ok. Perhaps think about which accessories exactly are you searching for, as there is not right answer for "in general" case.
Is it possible to soften the front shocks?
Hiya,
No, I am sorry to say but the integrated front wheel suspension is NOT adjustable, and so you cannot really soften it in any way that would not compromise the wheels' integrity. It does, however, loosen up over time a bit.
There are not many stroller frames with an adjustable from suspension/shock-absorbing systems; one would, in any case, certainly be Bugaboo's Cameleon line.
