Do you know where I can get a raincover for the carrycot from, or will daughter have to put up with a universal one?

I cannot say which stroller you mean, however if you cannot google "stroller name" + carrycot rain cover, or a distributor says they don't have a dedicated rain cover for that model, you will need a universal one, yes. Any better baby shop around you, or Amazon can help with this.
