iSafe Optimum vs. Joie Aire Twin - or which double pram around 220 is a good one?

sophie • 11 Feb 2022

What are your thoughts on the iSafe Optimum double prams. It is now between the Joie Aire Twin and the Optimum one I am on a budget of 220 so if you can also think of a good double side by side too that would be helpful. Thank you

Hi, sophie,

I would most certainly get the Joie one again as it is a more known, better quality and customer service brand. Also, an umbrella-type stroller (read more HERE) is super loose over time and brings more disadvantages than advantages in the end - and even more so if it is a cheaper one. If truly an umbrella style is a thing you'd go to, I would rather think of a Koelstra Simba Twin T4 if it would be available around you - it is simply more spacious.

I will also suggest a Valco Snap Duo as it is light, roomy and better quality than what you suggest (if the pice would be too high around you, there is usually plenty second-hand ones to choose from, too).

A pre-owned Baby Jogger City Mini Double would also be a MUCH better choice (new, ofc, even better, but they don't come cheap unless there's a sale somewhere). Lastly, I'd mention a Macleren - their umbrella strollers for two children are good and often sold in classifieds, meaning a better price and a good quality strollers.

Your -very berry- Eli.

Now, this is your place to ask. I'm listening.
