How different is the Valco Ion for 2 from the newer Valco double strolers, and can I attach a Chicco car seat to it?

Jameson • 22 Sep 2023

Hi, I have a discontinued model Valco Ion Ex for 2 stroller and I also have a Chicco Keyfit infant car seat. Is it possible to get an adapter that works for this old stroller? How different is the Ion for two from the newer Valco baby double strollers? Would an adapter made for Duo X or Neo Twin attach to my Ion for 2?

Hey, Jameson,

I don't think you can use any other than a Ion for 2 adapters, and they are a bit specific, shape-wise. I am not even sure you wil find Chicco-dedicated ones, honestly. And as a discontinued, and not that mainstream of a stroller, it won't be easy to do (possibly, it may not happen). I can only suggest checking classifieds and eBay fot a Valco Ion Twin Chicco adaptors, otherwise, you will simply have to use it without the possibility to attach a car seat, I'm afraid.

There are differences to the recent double strollers from Valco, but not that huge, features wise, to be honest - I would compare it, functionality-wise, to the Valco Snap Duo. The design is different but the features are very similar, as is the seat space.

Your -very berry- Eli.

Now, this is your place to ask. I'm listening.
