Is the adapter for stroller/car seat/pram universal? Does it work with other car seats, for example?

No, it is not. There is no adapter in the world that would work with all car seats. This strolller's adapter will primarily work with Maxi-Cosi / Bébé COnfort 0+ car seats, and I would recommend getting one of those for the best fit and stability. You should, however, be able to attach a Cybex, Kiddy, Recaro, Nuna, or Joie car seat on the same set of adapters, however, officially they are not supported. The best is to try it out before buying a car seat from a brand other than Max-Cosi / Bébo Confort.
