A compact stroller with a nice suspension - which to choose?

Maru • 08 Dec 2021

Hi Eli.

I am looking for a compact stroller with great suspension and a compact fold, preferably reversible seat, under 10 kg.

I was thinking about the Angelcab A Series, Cybex Mios, Cybex Eeezy S Twist or Bugaboo Bee or Babyzen Yoyo (because of the fold). Which one of these strollers has the best suspension?

I really like the design of Cybex Mios, not so much of the Bugaboo Bee, but I am not sure whether it is worth the price.

Thanks in advance for your advice!

Heya, Maru!

I actually owned the Cybex Mios and used it long-term from birth, with a carrycot and a car seat and a seat unit as well. And I must say this is a stroller that actually surprised me SO MUCH with its suspension. You cannot, you know, count on a much stroller suspension in any other of these compact strollers. The Bugaboo Bee, yes, some... but this stroller is too large for me, and the no leg rest was a downside for me, too. The Cybex Eezy S-Twist is, again, more of a rattle if planning to use that every day... and the Babyzen Yoyo is simply a travel stroller, with a VERY slanted seat and not much suspension, I wouldn't want to use that daily... The Angelcab A-series is a sturdy, quality pram, but with far less suspension.

That is why the Mios is, in my opinion, the best stroller if the suspension is what you're after. On the other hand, if you look at the size of the wheels, you will know that none of these strollers is actually an all-terrain one - for that, you'd need MUCH bigger wheels and a robust stroller frame. my second choice out of your list and with such requirements would be the Angelcab - that would be for its larger wheels and sturdy frame.

Your -very berry- Eli.

Now, this is your place to ask. I'm listening.
