A compact stroller from birth that will last to toddler years

Mags • 08 May 2022

All the information about strollers is so overwhelming for a first-time mum. I would like to find something that will work from birth till toddler years, something that’s compact and not too hard to fold up or lift out of a small car as I’ll be using it by myself my partner won’t be around all the time to help me. Price is not an issue at all.

Hiya, Mags,

The equation of small, compact stroller = smaller seat is usually very true, however, there are larger-seat prams from birth that can work, as I found. One of them would be the Cybex Mios which is really nice for an urban mom, not just good-looking but also higher quality, and the seat was ok for my son even when four years old, even if a bit tight (but that is an age any reversible stroller seat will be so). So that would be my first suggestion to you.

Another one would be the Quinny Zapp Flex Plus which is also not too all-terrain and a bit heavier, but still very doable and super practical in terms of space and compact fold.

One last model I will recommend here from the point of practicality might be an unexpected choice, the Greentom Upp with TWO seats. The Reversible seat will be used the first year, year and a half, and then changed for the non-reversible Classic seat that will last you even up to 4 years of age.

Check the pushchairs out, think, and check also folded sizes of (any) strollers in a shop to have a reference. I hope I didn't give you too many options to not confuse you much, and I wish you all the best!

Your -very berry- Eli.

Now, this is your place to ask. I'm listening.
