A compact stroller for London's public transport with a LOW positioned handle for a petite mum

NS • 15 Aug 2021

I am looking for a lightweight compact easy foldable stroller for everyday use. I will be using it in public transport in London. I need a compact one so I can keep it in the nursery too. My baby is 1 year old and 8.7 kg approx. The biggest issue I am facing is the handlebar height. I am a petite mom (4 feet 8 inches). I liked the BabyZen Yoyo but the handlebar is high for me.

Will you be able to help me to find a stroller, please?

Hello, there!

Usually, the other way is true and people do try to find a higher handlebar for a tall figure or for a tall dad. So an interesting question, indeed! 😊

My suggestion would be to go for something that has a handle either adjustable or lower than 100 cm. If your baby doesn't need a full lie-flat position, I would firstly suggest a GB Pockit All City pushchair with a 99 cm handle height - a kind of an umbrella stroller but with a connected handlebar.

A Joie Pact Lite, if you can get your hands on it, is also a model with a low handle. The Joie Mirus also has a low handlebar- These Joie strollers are, however, on the more budget-friendly side of the ultracompact category of strollers.

From the more luxury strollers, I will most certainly recommend the new Mamas&Papas Airo. The handle adjusts downwards so perfect even for a very small mommy.

Lastly, a Nuna Pepp Next would be a great idea, too, since it also features an adjustable handlebar (99 cm at the lowest setting).

Your -very berry- Eli.

Now, this is your place to ask. I'm listening.
