Cybex Beezy

see 8 parent reviews

The Cybex Beezy was launched in 2020, replicating its "brother" buggy, the popular GB Qbit+ All-City stroller. This compact pushchair from Cybex's Gold line is mainly intended for traveling - and being a simpler model, is different from the Qbit+ All-City with simpler lines and upholstery design. The canopy is also differently shaped differently, similar to other pushchairs from Cybex's Eezy line.

The Beezy offers low weight, a one-hand folding system, an ultra-compact fold suitable even for the overhead compartments with some airlines (always check your airline's regulations). The high weight capacity (22 kg), the spacious, lie-flat, world-facing seat, the car seat compatibility as well as the compatibility with the Cot To Go foldable carrycot make the Beezy suitable for the role of a from-birth, folding-friendly travel stroller lasting, space-wise, until the end of strolling days.

The wheels are a safety hazard

2
  • Nice colour
  • Folds nicely
  • Big hood
  • Foam handle bar
  • Moveable cross bar very handy
  • Free rain cover
  • Wheels are really bad!
  • Breaks terrible
  • Basket quite small
  • Seat quite uncomfortable

Looks good upon opening and the open / close mechanism was swift and easy.

The wheels though I believe are a safety hazard. I put my son in the pram, wheels were ' locked ' and the pram was sliding about all over the place.

Never had this with any of my other prams when inside. And would not recommend as it worried me in case it was outside and could literally slide down a hill or something! No grip at all. Seat is also very firm and not comfy enough for my little 6m old. X

Very good

4
  • Runs smoothly
  • Lightweight
  • Full-flat recline
  • Tall handle bar
  • Good size basket
  • Roomie seat
  • Big canopy
  • Not a big fan of the reclining system
  • Doesn’t sit up straight
  • No peek-a-boo window
  • No accessories, cup holder, rain cover, adapters...

A very good compact stroller!

Excellent purchase

4
  • So easy to fold
  • So easy to push and turn
  • Fully reclines so naps are great
  • Good under storage
  • You can fold with some of the storage still filled
  • Easy canopy
  • Doesn’t come with mosquito net or rain cover
  • The very expensive travel bag is flimsy and is a separate purchase

Excellent purchase.

Best from Cybex for now

4
  • Big basket
  • Roomy seat
  • Large hood
  • Lightweight
  • Easy fold
  • Nice to push
  • Great quality fabric, specially hood
  • Backrest could have straight position too

Best from Cybex for now.

Much better than Melio

5
  • Good quality
  • Easy to push and maneuvering
  • Easy fold
  • Roomy seat
  • 4 wheels suspension
  • Big hood
  • Nice basket, enough for small shopping
  • The seat could be higher

Great stroller. Much better than Melio.

  • Compact
  • Nicely sized hood
  • Son slides down
  • Cheap materials used

The materials feel cheap and the seat is not very comfortable - our son slides down quite a bit. For occasional use OK.

  • travel system option
  • low weight
  • foldability
  • nice handle height, been if no adjusting it
  • hard to adjust backrest
  • not an upright seat back
  • no cup holder

I use it as a travel system with a car seat. An awesome value for money as a secondary stroller.

  • hood
  • basket
  • compact fold
  • lightweight
  • price - I'd expect a little lower price (or more accessories included)
  • basic functionality
  • a little wobbly frame

We needed something light and compact to fold in the car boot often. It absolutely works for that - it is small after folding, and lightweight. The basket is nicely sized and the wheels do possess suspension, which is also super nice. Happy with the hood as well. From the downsides, it is a basic pushchair so don't expect much. For the price, though, I'd expect that you don't have to purchase everything separately - but you do. I am also not the biggest fan of the recline system.

Overall a nice buy to travel often with or to take to the mall, but of course, a basic one without all the bell and whistles.

Your questions about the Cybex Beezy

1)

Hi, Eli!

Please help - torn between Beezy and Leclerc influencer XL! I primarily need a second stroller for every day use with my 10 month old, long walks and car trips (I live outside the city so we regularly fold-unfold & in-out of car trunk). European city, some cobblestones and rough pavement. Ideally would like to use it for airplane travel some day. If you have a suggestion for any other stroller that would be a better fit, I’m all ears! 😄

Thank you!

Hey, Mitzio,

Both, and pretty much any similarly sized stroller, will unfortunately suffer on cobblestones and bigger bumps, so be ready for that. The small frames and small wheels just can't perform better on those. For car trips and less demanding walks, I would probably go for the roomier sat here, which, to me, the Beezy has (the Influencer is nice but feels shorter in the backrest area). However, the larger wheels of the Influencer XL will perform a tiny tad better on cobblestones, so if that were a priority, the Influencer XL would be the way to go. It is, however, a bit larger after folding, which would mean you might not be able to take it on board the plane as cabin luggage.

I personally would, however, probably go for the Joolz Aer+ which, to me, is one of the sturdier models in the category, and also one of the largest seat/tallest seat backs from these small-sized buggies. Apart from that, also look at the Cybex Eezy S+2 which is similar to the Beezy but has larger wheels, similar to the Influencer, and a tad larger seat.

In any case, all are reasonable options, so you won't make any big mistake out of what you chose. Not everyday strollers, however, these will do best as second strollers for the car, shopping, easy walks, doctor trips, holidays, etc.

Just got the Beezy 2 weeks ago and so far I love it. This morning (after a short flight last night with the stroller checked-in as luggage), I noticed a slight squeak, might not be related to the flight at all though. It seems to come from the wheel suspension, but I’m not sure. How could I fix it?

Hey Michelle,

HERE, you will find my guide for stroller cleaning and maintenance, I think it may be helpful for you to read it. The thing I think should help here (if there's not some internal misalignment and that you won't be able to repair, but that's less probable) is to clean your wheels - check for dirt, hair and so on, and then lubricating them as well as that suspension part with e.g. the WD-40. Often squeaking comes in when there's no oiling anymore.

The plastic parts can be oiled too, with a silicone spray - however, be sure not to get that silicone spray on your wheel foam, as that can make that part of the stroller squeak. At least, sometimes that happens.

Hiya,

Can the Cybex Beezy go into an overhead compartment in a plane? Thank you

Hello, Jas,

With the folded size of 58 cm x 43 cm x 26 cm, the stroller is accepted on board as hand luggage with some airlines, yes. You do have to check these measurements against the requirements of the airline of your choice as these differ considerably from airline to airline.

Hello, is the stroller good for tall parents? I have one and I always push the break when I walk. I am 5.8 tall.

Hey, Andreea,

The handle is at about 105 cm from the ground, which should be ok for you being 5.8 (about 176 cm, which is also my height). With these small, travel strollers, though, the danger of kicking the brake is present even if the handle is ok for you, so you need to be ready for that and ideally try it out IRL - as e all have a different style of walking and a differently long step. So, it should be ok height-wise, but I cannot guarantee you won't kick the stroller at all - that's the price to pay for having one of the smallest stroller types there is.

My stroller will not open fully... help!

Hi, Dora,

Definitely don't use it anymore and try to claim warranty or search for a stroller service (or ask about one any distributor of this brand around you). It might be some lock snapped inside, and the stroller doesn't lock open anymore.

Does anyone know the dimensions of the backrest? I want to know how high it is... because some strollers have a short backrest and taller kiddos can't rest their heads back.

Hi, Steph,

If you want a stroller with a tall backrest and enough space for everyday naps or resting the head of a tall toddler, definitely DONˇT get an ultra-compact stroller, as they are naturally smaller in the seat because of the smallest fold in the world of strollers.

The manufacturer doesn't state the seat dimensions and I personally did not measure it yet, however, I can make an educated guess and tell you the seat back is about 46-48 cm tall from the looks of the seat. The seat, overall, is not going to be very very spacious, though,a nd you need to count on that when getting such a small-sized pushchair.

My Beezy won’t fully recline to the flat position-what could the problem be?

Hi, Alex,

The most regular problem is that something is stuck in the clip and/or the strap is turned somewhere along its was, making it shorter and harder to move. Be sure to check the strap - whether it is flat and not tangled some place, and the buckle - if there's anything stuck, twisted or broken.
